SUMMARY:Advocacy for a Cleaner Earth *****Cancelled due to inclement weather****
DESCRIPTION:Join BCAS and other environmental professionals to learn more about our environment and what personal actions we can do to help make the world a better place! \nThis month’s topic is “Saving Our Birds: What’s Killing Our Birds and What You Can Do About It.” presented by Phil Witmer. \nPhil Witmer is an avid birder and conservationist with over 30 years birding experience. He is a past board member of Bucks County Audubon Society and current president of the Delaware Valley Ornithological Club\, one of the oldest birding clubs in the country. He has consulted with Audubon PA and is active in their local BirdTown initiatives. He volunteers banding Northern Saw-whet owls and has attended Powdermill Preserve’s trainings on passerine banding. While certainly not an expert on bird identification\, he has devoted much time to the conservation of birds\, the forces driving their decline and what we need to do to save them. He leads walks at Bucks County Audubon Society and lectures on a variety of related topics. \nThis free event will take place at Delaware Valley University. Parking is off of the New Britain Rd. Entrance to the school.
