DESCRIPTION:Participate in one of the longest running Community Science projects put on by the National Audubon Society – the Christmas Bird Count! \nDue to COVID restrictions this year\, the Christmas Bird Count will operate a little bit differently! \nWe will gather at the Center at 8 am to start as usual\, with masks. Subsequently\, these are the rules to follow: \n\nSocial distancing and/or masking are required at all times in the field\, i.e. when you are out of your car.\nCarpooling may only occur within existing family or social pods/groups. That is\, if you have a group that you regularly participate with that would like to accompany you on the count that is acceptable.\nActivities must comply with all current state and municipal COVID-19 guidelines.\n\n\n\nWhen you have completed your area survey you can drop off your checklist as per usual.\n\nIf you are interested in participating\, please email Diane Smith at dianesmith@bcas.org for further details.
