DESCRIPTION:The Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) is a community science project launched in 1998 in the US that expanded world-wide in 2013. Join thousands of birders reporting their data over a four day period. These observations help scientists better understand global bird populations before one of their annual migrations. Meet at the Visitor Center at 2pm for a brief introduction to the count and then let’s take a bird walk!  Dress for the weather.  FREE but registration is required. \nRegister here!

SUMMARY:Art of Ecology Winter Wildflower Botanical Illustration Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Snowdrops & Skunk Cabbage Winter Wildflower Botanical Illustration Workshop\n\nHike through the woods of Bucks Audubon as we blend art and science with this botanical illustration class! After a hike to measure and observe these winter wildflowers\, we will head back to the center for warm drinks (coffee/hot cocoa provided)\, to learn how to enlarge subjects for illustration\, and to practice some techniques to accurately portray these plants. Workshop is ideal for those who have taken my illustration workshops in the past\, or have experience with basic drawing techniques. All drawing materials provided\, however if you have your own set of colored pencils/pens that you’d like to use\, please feel free to bring them!
