DESCRIPTION:Join our team of teacher naturalists this fall and help bring nature to life for children and families through birthday parties\, in-school programs\, and scout events. We’re looking for enthusiastic adults who are passionate about environmental education\, enjoy working with children of all ages and abilities\, and are eager to learn and grow as educators. \nThis training is perfect whether you’re a returning naturalist looking to expand your skills and program knowledge\, or just starting and excited to get involved in environmental education. Training will prepare participants to lead engaging\, interactive programs that support our mission of inspiring a love and understanding of the natural world. Applicants should be flexible\, dependable\, able to walk on uneven terrain while carrying supplies\, and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. \nThis is a paid on-call position. DESCRIPTION:Join us for an exciting program on the Sport of Kings – Falconry!   \nMaster Falconer Gregory Wojtera will present an engaging program on the sport of kings – falconry! Discover the fascinating history and traditions of this ancient practice\, explore the natural history and biology of local raptors\, meet the birds up close\, and have your questions answered by an expert. \nBCAS Members age 18 and up are eligible for the flight experience! The flight experience is a chance to hold the birds on your falconry gauntlet and experience the unique thrill of having a hawk fly freely from your glove and back to you. There are limited spots available\, so sign up right away! \nLecture at 2:00 p.m.: Free for members\, $10 for non-members \nFlight experience\, 3:00-5:00 p.m.: Limited availability for members age 18+ only.
