Youth Environmental Education
Forest, meadow, stream, marsh, and pond ecosystems are the tools that we use to engage students in science learning! Do you want to bring hands-on, inquiry-based science learning to your students? Then find a program that is right for you. You can choose to bring your students to explore the Honey Hollow Watershed through field trip experiences, have us bring science to your classroom, or even better, do both!
The outdoor school program at Honey Hollow brings learning to life. It encourages students to observe and connect more deeply with nature bringing a greater awareness of the natural world that surrounds them every day.
Education Experiences
Outdoor
Our staff is dedicated to providing outstanding educational programs using our 55-acre campus as a living outdoor classroom. Students who visit the Honey Hollow Watershed explore our various ecosystems and biomes through experiential, hands-on field activities and cooperative learning games.
In-School
Not able to come to us? Let us come to you! Many of our field trip topics can be adapted for the classroom, or outdoor locations on your school grounds. Our educators have updated the programs to line up with the new STEELS standards. With live animals, hands-on activities, observations and exploration, we will bring science to life for your students!
Early Explorers
We also offer a selection of preschool programs delivered at your location! Our Environmental Educators will make learning about nature fun and accessible for your students with discovery and inquiry-based activities! We are also happy to work with preschools to design custom programs or series of programs. Please call 215-297-5880 to discuss program development for your class or group.
